As part of Archtober Newburgh, a representative from the Hudson River Valley Greenway will present an overview of their Community and Compact Grant Programs, which support local planning, preservation, and development efforts across the region.

This session will highlight how communities can access matching grants to advance projects aligned with the Greenway’s five core criteria:

  • Natural and cultural resource protection

  • Economic development

  • Public access

  • Regional planning

  • Heritage and environmental education

Learn how your municipality or organization can apply for funding this fall.

Key Grant Dates – Fall 2025 Cycle

  • Applications Open: September 8

  • Application Deadline: October 31

  • Awards Announced: December 10

Grant opportunities include:

  • Up to $20,000 for single-municipality projects

  • Up to $30,000 for intermunicipal projects

  • Up to $50,000–$100,000 for Compact strategy development or updates
